We have made the difficult decision to cancel our 35th annual Community Living Oakville Golf Tournament scheduled for Thursday September 24th.
Our Committee members thought long and hard about how we could possibly offer a safe and fun tournament within current COVID-19 restrictions, and regrettably, we’ve come to the conclusion that we can’t.
While golf courses have reopened, physical distancing restrictions – which will likely remain in effect for this year’s golf season – will not allow shotgun starts, 2 players to a cart or any sort of social gatherings, making the enjoyable experience you’ve come to expect impossible.
Given the length of time that we have all been dealing with COVID-19, and the financial impact that it has had on many in our community, we also don’t feel comfortable asking for sponsorship and foursome support given this reality.
We have truly valued your support in the past and are certainly hoping that you will be there for us when we return next year!
